Modern Slavery Act Statement
This statement sets out the actions taken by Ecobrite Limited to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains.
Our Zero-Tolerance Commitment
Ecobrite Limited is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in its business activities. We recognize our responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking.
We are absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities, and to ensuring that our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking. We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.
Global Supply Chain & Due Diligence
Since our inception, we have established strong relationships with manufacturing partners across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. To ensure these partners adhere to our values, we implement the following due diligence processes:
- Vetting new suppliers for their human rights and labor standards before entering into commercial agreements.
- Conducting regular reviews of existing suppliers and their commitment to ethical trading.
- Ensuring our B2B partners, including our furniture distribution clients, understand and support our anti-slavery stance.
- Invoking the right to terminate agreements if a supplier fails to provide evidence of ethical labor practices.
Identifying & Managing Risk
We recognize that the primary risk of modern slavery within our business lies in our global supply chain, specifically in the raw material sourcing and manufacturing of LED components.
We manage these risks through direct communication with factory owners and by prioritizing suppliers who hold internationally recognized certifications for social accountability. Within our UK operations, we ensure all 15+ staff members are paid a fair wage and work in a safe environment compliant with UK employment law.
Training & Awareness
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide relevant information to our staff. We encourage all employees to report any concerns, and our management is committed to acting on any such reports immediately and without retribution.
